Tour of the Nation's Capital

ME & the CAPITAL

Danny.Me.Brian on the tour of the Capital

Look @ this beautiful chandelier...they dont have records of where this is from. They think it might have been found in a pirates ship. Thats the myth.

Our tour guide, Miss. Nichole (works for a Utah Congressman, so she gives tours all the time) took Bryan, Danny (boys from the ward), and I on a tour of the Nation's Capital. It was so cool! The old furniture, beautiful paintings, 2 statues from every state throughout the capital, and all of the facts that our tour guide taught us.

My two favorite things I learned while on the tour:
1. There is a spot in the middle of the capital that is the EXACT center of Washington DC (and I stood on it!)
2. In the old Library of Congress (where they tried to pass laws), John Adams desk was positioned at the perfect spot where the people conversing about passing the laws. They would be whispering and the way that the architecture on the ceiling was shaped, he could hear what they were saying. (I tried it! It really works!) I'm just going to stop because its hard to explain...you should just come to the nations capital and try it out.
