Things I am going to miss about DC....
Abe Lincoln
The Wahington Monument
The Nations Capital
Going to the Mall like every weekend…I got so used to that place. I should have kept track how many times that I went down there because we went every time someone came into town. I got to go on a few runs around the mall too, which made the mall that much cooler. And for those 24 fans, I saw Keither Sutherland filiming 24 on the mall at one of the buildings there on the mall. Too bad that I didn’t have a camera on me for proof.
Red line to Shady Grove
DC Metro
Buying Metro Cards
The Metro…Ding…Ding…Step back doors closing. Please step to the middle of the cart so that customers can… I will not only miss that recording that I pretty much memorized, but going up and down the escalators everyday. And seeing William(daily on weekdays), handing out the daily newspapers along with those musicians trying to make money and also those selling souvenirs and flowers.
The walk to the office
Walking to Policy Impact…and feeling all businessy walking down the street in my skirt and high heel pumps. It’s fun feeling important or trying to make your self feel important.
policy impact
Answering the phones at Policy Impact “Good morning Policy Impact, this is Randi, how may I help you?”…and interacting with all of the employees at Policy Impact. We became good friends, especially Carlie and myself. We would chit-chat everyday, she had a routine, we would talk everyday about the same time everyday, a couple times a day. I don’t know what she is going to do without me. Good luck to the new intern, they will love you and you will love your internship.
this is a view from my apartment but this is a little what DC looks like in the fall and it looks similar to walking to church
Going to Chevy Chase Ward…the walk to church is gorgeous. The area it was in was so classy and the streets were just lined with huge mature trees. Adios DC 2nd ward!
New Yorkster (not only in NYC does everyone use their horn for any reason (mostly to get out of the way), but they use it up and down the east coast)
going to the beach
harpers ferry in West Virginia
Traveling the east coast…boy am I going to miss this freedom. From Virginia Beach to New York to Southern Virginia University to Annapolis, MD to Harpers Ferry…I could go on and on. Cheers to my time spent in DC the last 4 months!
My girlfriends
Last but not least I am going to miss my girls….my roommates were the BOMB! Erin, Emily, Nichole and Rebecca..we had some good times. I am so glad that I got to travel and do things with each of them at least one weekend out of the semester. I learned something from each of them. I love these girls!! I am so glad we met!
Now it is my time to go home... look at what I had to pack up and take home! Yeah it was embarrassing in the airport. I felt like a high maintenance girl with all of my bags!
